Work With Me

Therapy with Me

Growing up as The Weird Kid in a small town, I know what it's like to feel constantly out of place and like my best was never good enough. I find that authenticity and self-compassion are the most important parts of the therapy process. My goal for our sessions is to help you discover what you already know about yourself--I truly believe that we all have the innate ability to heal and sometimes we just need a little help figuring out what that looks like. I value directness with a healthy dose of kindness, which means I will cheer you through your victories and also tell you how it is.I am interested in working with individuals with ADHD, anxiety, and depression, trauma, eating disorders, and/or folks in the LGBTQ+ community. In my work with clients, I use acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) in combination with parts work, cognitive behavioral therapy, and yoga (both movement and breathwork). There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy! I tailor my approach to each client so you get exactly what you need.

I am especially passionate in my work with teens. Being a teen in 2025 brings unique stressors that previous generations didn't experience: climbing higher education costs, climate change, political turbulence... It's hard not to feel hopeless when so much of the future feels scary and out of our control. Let's work together to find what makes life worth living, and most importantly, help you shine as your authentic self. All therapy I provide is liberation-focused: LGBTQIA+ and gender-affirming, and allied towards Poly/Kink/Non-Monogamous, Sex Worker and Alternative Lifestyle communities.

Therapy is only as effective as a therapist is authentic, so I use humor and a laid-back style to connect with clients. I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and parts work to help clients achieve their potential (it was inside of them all along!).

Training with Me

Do you find yourself worrying that you're going to say the wrong things when a queer or trans client enters the room? Or maybe you have personal experiences with the queer and trans community, but little formal training in counseling best practices. It's not your fault that your graduate coursework did not adequately prepare you to work with queer and trans clients, but it IS your responsibility to improve your skills.

Increase your comfort and competence to work with LGBTQ+ clients by booking a training with me. At the core of my training is a desire to decolonize our work with clients. This means I incorporate a systemic social-justice framework when I craft presentation materials. I provide introductory and advanced presentations/workshops on LGBTQ+ concerns, including counseling best practice and interventions, human sexuality, dating, advocacy, and more.I craft training programs that meet the unique needs of the individual/organization to deliver the best quality product. Training programs include tailored lecture, self-of-the-therapist reflection, group discussion, worksheets, and resources.
